How To Wax Men’s Chest

December 18, 2008

Some men are embarrassed by the amount of chest hair that they have. They are afraid that women will think it is too much and will not want to have anything to do with them unless they rid themselves of it.

The good thing is there are many different ways in which you can remove the hair – but which one to choose? Because men don’t have time to be removing the hair on a daily basis they will usually opt for waxing. It might be painful – but it gets the job done!

The first thing you will need to do when you are waxing chest hair for the first time is to clip it down. The hair should be ¼” long before you begin to wax chest hair. The process is painful enough without having to wax more than you should.

The next thing you will need to do is to heat up the wax and spread it along the chest. You can choose two types of chest wax. You can either heat it up or you can use the kind that is spread across the chest and than covered by paper strips. Whichever you choose make sure that you follow the instructions carefully. Make sure that you spread the wax over your chest evenly.

Next you will be placing the paper strips over the wax. As we stated earlier there are some waxes that will harden and therefore do not require paper strips. But most will need them.

Now comes the hard part! You are going to have to rip the hair off your skin. The only thing I can tell you to make this more appealing a process is that after you have done it a few times it won’t be as painful because you will be used to it and the hair will be thinner.

After you have pulled the strips off finish the process with moisturizer to help calm the skin. Give your chest some breathing room by going around the house without a shirt for at least a day or by wearing a cotton shirt. You don’t want to wear anything that will irritate it.

There are dozens of ways to get rid of men’s chest hair – but what most don’t know is that there are many ways for them to trim it. Those who hate to spend time and money to go to a salon can always trim their chest hair in just a few minutes.

You will need a razor and a beard trimmer. If you have sensitive skin you may want to consider using shaving cream to make it easier for you. But before you apply the shaving cream pull out the beard trimmer and trim the hair down to an appropriate length. This helps make it easier for you to shave and prevents the razor from clogging up.

Some men like the way it looks after using the beard trimmer so you may be able to stop there. However, if you want to go shorter then it is time to apply the shaving cream. But first you will need to soak your chest hair in warm water. The best way to do that is to soak in a warm bath. Afterwards apply the shaving cream and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Try keeping to the good razors and stay away from the cheap ones. You will need to make sure that you shave in the opposite direction that the hair is growing in. Rinse the razor repeatedly to prevent it from clogging.

When you are finished you will need to rinse your chest very well. Pat it dry with a soft towel and then apply soothing skin lotion. In order to remove dead skin cells you will need to exfoliate it.

Some men feel uncomfortable by the amount of chest hair that they have. Some are proud of what they have – but others are embarrassed and feel the need to constantly cover up. When in doubt there are easy methods to use that will help to remove all of the chest hair. Though the process is not always pleasant. Read the rest of this entry »
